This page of Portals / Ephemera is primarily focused on the trains that run through Port Jervis, New York and the commuter train, Metro-North, NJ Transit, that runs from Port to Hoboken, NJ.
We have done some railfanning and consider ourselves railfans, so any time we know of a freight train or the rare James Strates Carnival Train, coming through, we try to get photos.
There are a few videos of our train trips to Hoboken and back.
Other subjects are air shows and events that we have attended. We have included photos of the WWII airplanes as well as photos from the 1st Annual New York Air Show at Stewart, Newburgh, N.Y.
I do have a link to the photography of William Roque. He focuses on corrosion and decay photography, which is surprisingly beautiful, despite it's name. He does sell some of his work, on request.
Since the trains run to Hoboken and it is an easy commute to New York City, there are links to special events, with discount tickets. If you are planning a vacation, you may want to click on these links.
Currently, Radio City Music Spectacular and the Musical Elf are running discounts.
